The Future is Botanical
06.06.2025
This campaign explored what it means to feel rooted, both in nature and in the city, through simple, tactile acts of presence.
We printed a series of posters carrying quiet yet declarative messages and quotes, placed intentionally within green urban spaces. Each piece functioned as both statement and invitation, asking passersby to pause, read, and reflect. “The future is botanical” appeared as one message among many—not as metaphor alone, but as a vision for how cities, communities, and relationships might grow.
Alongside the posters, we engaged the public through a flower hand-out activation. Fresh flowers were gifted with handwritten notes tied in twine, each carrying a reflective question and a QR code linking back to our Rooted Reflectionspractice. These prompts invited participants into moments of dialogue: with themselves, with the land they live on, and with the collective imagination of a greener future.
The questions centered themes of community and connection, nature and reciprocity, and hope and imagination—asking what it means to feel rooted in a city, how we notice and give back to the Earth, and what a botanical future could look and feel like in everyday life.
Through gentle interaction rather than spectacle, the campaign created space for curiosity, slowness, and shared meaning. It transformed ordinary encounters into moments of reflection, reminding us that reimagining our cities begins with attention, care, and the courage to imagine what could grow next.
