FORMA Fest

10.25.2025

Botanical Future had the joy of hosting a table at Forma Fest, a techno festival exploring how music can reconnect us to the land. The event took place at Honey Acres, a farm stewarded by owner Jason, whose land provided a grounding, intentional setting for the day. Organized by Heaven Dancing Club, Forma Fest brought together sound, art, and community in a way that felt both expansive and deeply rooted.

At our table, we featured handmade Warli art created by a local artist, an ancient visual language that honors cycles of life, community, and nature. We also collaborated with Sobi Hawk, a DC-based artist who led the creation of a community mural that unfolded throughout the festival. Attendees were invited to add their own marks, layering shadow, color, and story as the piece evolved.

What emerged was a transcendent mural reflecting life and death, the cycles that move through everything. By the end of the day, it stood as a visual embodiment of Forma Fest’s energy: rhythm, renewal, and connection formed through sound and soil.

The festival became more than a music event, it became a shared practice of presence, creativity, and collective expression. Alongside the music and mural-making, local vendors and artists filled the grounds, offering their work and energy, further weaving community, craft, and care into the experience.
